Loved Successful Entrepreneurs Unveil Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

Life changing is the feeling I felt upon learning about Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Right away I profoundly connected and still do, as a successful entrepreneur to the idea that freedom for all is possible; if everyone just knowns what the world needs. Secret: love is part of the equation!

We are applying the Hierarchy of Needs here for successful entrepreneurs. Here’s how Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs works: Everyone starts somewhere, and through self-actualization, that is fulfilling your full suite of needs; you’ll readily shift your mindset to catapult innovation further than you can imagine!

Okay so let’s back up a moment because Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is really exciting to me, but I want to make sure you future and current successful entrepreneurs really grasp how life-changing it is for you too, and everyone you know!

On behalf of Success Strivers, the blog, I think you’ll really appreciate us applying Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to entrepreneurship. However once you acquire these tools to self actualization, you can apply Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs to every strive!

Visual learners rejoice, we curated an illustration to help meet your needs, all of you!

Provide future successful entrepreneurs what they need, according to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

As you can see, Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs identifies five stages:

  1. Self-Actualization,

  2. Esteem Needs

  3. Love & Belonging

  4. Safety Needs

  5. Basic Needs

We know it sounds basic but as entrepreneurs, the most successful know to start at the end-point. In this case self-actualization will unveil our potential; then we begin to peel back what steps to take to accomplish our goals.

All successful entrepreneurs have this in common. They know what they need. But they didn’t always, some still don’t. From what I hear many generally have a clue what they truly need, but you need to trust your intuition and subscribe to Success Strivers to stay ahead of your success as well.

This way, you can avoid what majority of entrepreneurs fail because. This is why many don’t achieve their goals, and the chances of success as an entrepreneur are only a few percent, less or barely more depending on industry. Many aspiring entrepreneurs pass through life not honing their love and belonging in particular.

Love and Belonging are Integral to Successful Entrepreneurship!

As we reviewed and will dig dipper into, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs states that we need every stage fulfilled to flourish as successful entrepreneurs. Taken together, love and belonging with esteem needs really are 50% of getting to self actualization.

You know those stereotypes of entrepreneurs who have all the money in the world but are NOT happy? This is true! They really can’t be in fact every extra dollar they make just reminds them further what money can’t buy. The power from Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is that with a strong family-like love and belonging, you build your esteem needs.

So money isn’t everything. Do you agree?

Be as it may this is good news for those who grow up poor, but this is also bad news for those who grow up poor.

Here’s how: because safety needs and as the name implies basic needs really are the game-changer to even feel the love that your future spouse or other dear friends or family can have for you! Yes, you!!!

As I mentioned, learning about Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs was life-changing for me; and part of this is because as a disadvantaged community and daughter of a Mompreneur I learned myself to become an independent thinker.

Many young strivers struggle around the same time in their lives as I learned about Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. I still remember my very young adulthood learning how basic needs, safety needs, love and belonging, esteem needs and self-actualization will always be pivotal to living anyone’s best life.

This must know can help our clients and others globally

Do you go around knowing how your life experiences shape your everyday moments let alone future goals or perceived failures? Successful entrepreneurs are self-aware when they are in the final stage of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, self actualization.

Every failure is an opportunity to be a more successful entrepreneur or whatever it is you strive for! The reality is the hegemons haven’t let the poor increase for many reasons at the level they need. Things are changing though.

Accordingly, we’re seeing universal income getting established in Canada and the U.S. has many highly influential forces at work to address protecting the children and minorities or disabled; anyone at an unfair playing field.

Now let’s unveil the integrity of the successful entrepreneur. To me, true success is when it is shared. All of our lives are dependent on one another for happiness even if it’s just keeping the safety that is a game-changer in every person’s life, according to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

So here’s the important takeaways courtesy of Success Strivers:

  1. The Foundation: BASIC NEEDS

     This segment covers:

  • Breathing

  • Food

  • Water

  • Warmth

  • Can you think of anymore? Please add to the comments section, there are many!

2. SAFETY NEEDS!

After basic human life needs is the safety needs, in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

This group of needs covers personal safety. Criminals are this way typically because of poverty, this is widely proven. Some areas that those without basic elements to life resort to violating it. For all of us to reach self-actualization we need:

  1. Employment security

  2. Financial Security

  3. Health

  4. Property

  5. Belonging & Love

    3. BELONGING AND LOVE

The third level of Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs is not just a want it’s actually essential to self-actualization.

  1. ESTEEM

When people believe in you, or when you believe in yourself, this is Esteem. It’s logical it is the next stage after love and belonging, and it explains a lot of why those who are disadvantaged don’t have the esteem to accomplish bigger goals; they need to see people they, as their own selves, connect with or those around them need to boost them up. But it is easier to have love and belonging in all facets – media, immediate family, community, so forth. As such, Esteem is the final step to leap into your destiny! Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is amazing, right?

Here’s more of what esteem covers:

  • Self-esteem

  • Achievements

  • Self-confidence

  • Mutual respect

  • Efficacy (see our blog post on self efficacy if you haven’t yet learned about this important self realization)

SELF ACTUALIZATION is now able to be realized, once all the foundational needs are connected! Self-actualization is the top level of the hierarchy of needs.

  It contains:

  • Morale

  • Creativity

  • Openness

  • Clear mindedness

This is how Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs unveils the power of successful entrepreneurs!
